At Camp ROAR, kids stay active, make new friends, build confidence, learn new skills, and create memories they'll be talking about long after summer ends!
🥋 This isn't your average summer camp.
Our action-packed Taekwondo Summer Camp is designed to keep kids engaged, moving, learning, and having FUN all summer long. While school is out, your child will be developing healthy habits, improving coordination, building self-confidence, and staying physically active under the supervision of our highly qualified Masters, Instructors, and experienced assistants.
Roar Taekwondo’s Summer Camp is unique and offers many more benefits than traditional camps seen around. Our teaching principles and philosophies are instilled in our campers through Taekwondo, while offering many fun and exciting activities.
Our camp consists of three age groups:
- Little Lions Group (ages 4–5)
- Youth Group I (ages 6–8)
- Youth Group II (ages 9 and up)

The best part? You can register for the weeks you need — whether that's 1 week, 2 weeks, or the entire summer!
Our program is structured from 9am to 2pm with a weekly field trip. Extended hours are offered if needed from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
What to bring everyday:
- Camp T-Shirt
- Hand sanitizer
- Boxed/bagged lunch and 2 snacks
- Bottled Water
- Extra pair of socks every day
- Crocks and Flipflops are permitted daily except on Field Trip days
- Thursday: Bring a bathing suit, towel, extra bag for wet clothes, sunscreen, and floaties if needed
** Full Taekwondo uniforms are not required during summer camp.

At Roar we know that respect is a learned behavior, we teach your child how to respect instructors, teachers, other students, and their parents.

Taekwondo allows a child to gain confidence in their strength and abilities, as they progress they will understand how to defeat mental anxiety and blockers to accomplish their goals.
Activities
As part of the Summer Camp, we offer the students to also enjoy activities outside of the studio, this is done to enhance learning opportunities and show your child different passions and experiences they may enjoy.
These activities range from going to the movies, doing arts & crafts, bowling, games, skating, swimming, Gaming Truck, Mad Science, tournaments and of course, Taekwondo!
We also have theme weeks throughout the summer to help foster creativity and opportunity to dig deeper on certain topics. The theme weeks are posted here before the summer starts so you will know and have the information needed.

Each year our Summer camp leaders consists of our regular instructors as well as a select few senior belts or senior students who have shown the same care and drive to teach the students throughout the summer!

Camp Theme Weeks
WEEK 1
JUNE 8 - 12DISCOVER KOREA
Children will learn about the language, culture, customs and etiquette of Korea.
WEEK 2
JUNE 15 - 19BULLY PREVENTION
Children will learn to identify and prevent bullying. We will practice talking about safely standing up to, and getting help for bullying.
WEEK 3
JUNE 22 - 26INTERNATIONAL SPORTS
Alongside their Taekwondo training, students will learn about and practice other sports from different countries around the world.
WEEK 4
JUNE 29 - JULY 3BOLLYWOOD
Bollywood dance is a fun work-out with simple, high-energy, and cardio dance moves from India and around the globe.
WEEK 5
JULY 6 - 10WEAPONS & LASER TAG
Students will explore the numerous weapons taught in martial arts! For their safety, all practice will be done with padded weapons.
WEEK 6
JULY 13 - 17MAD SCIENCE
Science is coming to Roar! Students will observe and partake in hands-on lab experiments.
WEEK 7
JULY 20 - 24SUPERHERO WEEK
Students can create their own or bring in their favorite superhero or dress up as them! Students learn about real life heroes and the skills/qualities that make a hero.
WEEK 8
JULY 27 - 31GAMER WEEK
Calling all Gamers! During this week, we will battle each other in electronic game wars and learn various coding apps. They will get a chance to bring their electronic devices to be creative and share kid-friendly codes.
WEEK 9
AUG 3 - 7NATURE WEEK
Students will learn about nature through outdoor activities and field trips. They will also have a chance to meet live animals!
WEEK 10
AUG 10 - 14ROAR TOURNAMENT
Survival of the fittest! Get ready to be challenged in our very own ROAR tournament! Students will learn about healthy competition in martial arts and how it can benefit their performance and confidence. All students will receive a medal!
WEEK 11
AUG 17 - 21FUN WEEK
The last week of summer is dedicated to having 100% pure fun!!
